Big Mouth Season 2 Review

Nick Kroll’s brain child dropped its second season on Netflix and boy is it a doozy.  Big Mouth is a crude but creative foray into the horrors of puberty.  The show tackles coming of age issues in a really raw way that anyone who attended middle school can relate to.  The cast is a dream for comedy fans, starring Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jordan Peele, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, and even Fred Armisen.  Even the guest stars are legit, they got Jon Hamm to play a sentient plate of scallops that tries to seduce a middle aged man.  The writing is thoughtful and clever, characters are deep and show real development over the course of the show.  The only downsides I can identify is the character Tyler is the most annoying thing in history.  That and that it’s impossible to recommend this show to anyone you know because it’s incredibly crude, and there’s a level of animated nudity that may make the average person… Uncomfortable.  I whole heartily recommend marathoning the whole show, it’s an absolute trip.

Justin should probably be in class right now. @JerstinRob
